Martins Otse Vincent a Social media activist popularly called  VeryDarkMan has explained why he stopped responding to singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, after the musician allegedly reached out to him over his dispute with his brothers.

He made the claim while addressing the ongoing controversy involving Peter and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, as well as their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

According to VDM, Peter did not approach him merely as a friend seeking advice but wanted to leverage his influence and social media platform to push his side of the dispute.

“Peter Okoye came to me for one reason,” he said, alleging that he later realised the singer wanted to use him to advance his own agenda.

VeryDarkMan also shared what he described as evidence of several unanswered calls and messages from Peter, saying he deliberately stopped responding after becoming uncomfortable with the direction of their communication.

He said Peter travelled from Lagos to Abuja to meet him because he wanted him to use his platform to call out his brothers or publicly support his position.

VDM further stated that he does not seek validation from people and would not allow himself to be manipulated.

“I don’t do lies,” he said, insisting that he would stand by what he believes to be the truth even if he had to stand alone.

The activist also accused Peter of making allegations against his brothers without sufficient evidence and attempting to influence public opinion after the court did not rule in his favour.

“Don’t act like you don’t know why Peter Okoye came to me,” VDM said.
